Recommended Kayak Carrier and Roof Rack for a 2012 Honda Pilot

Good morning - I just purchased a kayak online and am waiting for its delivery. I would like to purchase an economical/reliable kayak carrier and crossbars for a 2012 Honda Pilot that has raised side rails front to back. The kayak is a 12foot Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 width = 29. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you in advance.

A solid economically priced kayak carrier I recommend is the Swagman Contour rooftop carrier J-style # S65148 because it will fit round, square, aero/elliptical and most factory crossbars.
The kayak carrier will carry one kayak and takes up minimal space on the roof of your 2012 Honda Pilot.
As for a roof rack for your Pilot, the SportRack Frontier # SR1099 will be very economical and accommodate the kayak carrier # S65148 just fine. The maximum weight capacity is 130 pounds so certainly double-check your roof weight capacity within your owners manual.
