Troubleshooting 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Not Functioning After 6-Way Connector Install
Question:
I had a problem with a plug so I purchased a new set and wired them. Im able to get everything to work except the charging system from the truck to the 5th wheel batteries

It is possible that you shorted out the 12 volt trailer wiring circuit of your truck while you were wiring in the connector. Since this circuit would have voltage all the time it would be pretty easy to short it out while wiring up a new connector.
Check the fuse box for the 12 volt accessory trailer circuit relay/fuse and replace as needed.
