Recommended Kayak Carrier For 2013 Cadillac SRX With Factory Crossbars

I have a 2013 cadillac srx with factory cross bars. What would be the best kayak hauler option form me. I have a tandem and a single. I am more concerned about having a hauler that can haul the tandem.

We have several kayak carriers that will work with the roof rack on your 2013 Cadillac SRX.

Since I don't know the weight of your kayaks I will make some recommendations you can check out to see which ones will work for you.

My first recommendation is the Thule Hull-A-Port J-Style Rooftop Kayak Carrier, part # TH834. This carrier will hold one kayak up to 36 inches wide and weighing no more than 75 lbs. This carrier limits the length of the kayak to 10 ft. This carrier comes with straps to secure the kayak to the carrier and tie-downs for the bow and stern.

It can be difficult to reach the carriers on the top of a vehicle roof. You can take a look at the Wheel Mount Tire Step, part # HE4040. This just slips over the wheel on your SRX and gives you a step that makes it easy to reach the kayak when it is on the roof. This will adjust to fit any tire, has a non-slip surface and folds flat for easy storage when not in use.
