Would the Airaid MXP Cold Air Intake # AR401-278 Cause a Check Engine Light for 2012 Ford F350

My check engine light comes on with the air raid filter installed after about 1200 miles ford service dealer says thats what is causing it on my 2012 350 ford 6.7 deisel it has done it twice I had them take it of after this second time. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

If the Airaid MXP Cold Air Intake System # AR401-278 were to cause a check engine light to turn on it would have to be installed improperly and it would happen immediately, not 1,200 miles down the road.
Without knowing what code your truck popped it would be hard for me to speculate what the real problem is, but as long as you installed the # AR401-278 properly and plugged in all of the sensors it should not cause a vehicle to throw any codes. I would suspect the problem is elsewhere and the dealer you went to didn't want to honor your warranty.
Consumers are protected by the Magnuson-Moss warranty act that states in part that unless the part added actually causes a problem then installation and use of the part will not void the warranty. You may try bringing that up to the Ford dealer.
