Yes on a 2013 Chevy Avalanche the tow package wiring colors should be the same as those on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. On the vehicle, the red/black wire connects to the controller black wire for 12 volt power.

The GM white goes to the controller white for ground
GM light blue/white goes to controller red for brake light signal
GM dark blue goes to controller blue for output to trailer brakes

And if you see an orange wire it will not be used. I have included a link to an informational article that should also help.
