Can a Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate be Painted to Match Color of Truck

Question:

I have a 1998 Chevy 2500 4 wheel drive truck and am looking to replace my tailgate that rusted out. Am looking to replace it with a 5th wheel tailgate. My truck is white so not sure what color would be best or if I have options. Is black the only option?

Stromberg Carlson 100 series 5th wheel tailgate # VGM-88-100 is the only option for your 1998 Chevy K2500. It will not fit models that have a stepside bed.

You can paint the 100 series tailgate since it is powder coated steel. If you are going to use the 5th wheel tailgate often or exclusively then painting it to match the truck would be a good idea.
