Replacement Lead Leg for Landing Gear on 27-Ft Ragen 5th Wheel Toy Hauler
Question:
When you measure a landing leg, do you measure only the black part and not the silver part that extends? Im trying to find a replacement lead leg for my father-in-laws 2004 fifth wheel toyhauler.

Many landing gear brands/sets and replacement parts are interchangeable but a great way to find correct parts such as a lead leg is to locate the part number from the existing item. Most Atwood, Lippert and Stromberg Carlson landing gear can use common replacement parts. For example, part # LG-179013 is a replacement lead leg assembly that fits Stromberg Carlson LG-1 or LG-183708 landing gear as well as most Atwood and Lippert units. If you cannot find brand or part numbers on the existing leg matching the OVERALL LENGTH OF THE OUTER TUBE.
The overall dimensions of part # LG-183708 are 32-3/4-inches tall x 2-1/2 wide; the outer tube alone measures 29-1/2-inches. The part you referenced, # LG-177202, is a replacement part for one specific landing gear set, the motorized Stromberg Carlson Venture.
