Roadmaster Base Plate # 1123-1 Hole Dimensions

Question:

If the holes are 1/2 inch diameter, how can the centers of the holes be 7/8 inch apart?? Currently working on a 1982 Toyota 4WD pickup with leaf springs.

Expert Reply:

The two round base plate mounting holes closest to the front of the vehicle are 9/16 of an inch in diameter. The rear, oblong hole measures 1-1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. The center to center distance between the two round holes is 1-3/8. This information came directly from my contact in the Engineering department at Roadmaster.
