Hollywood Racks Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for a Toyota Prius

Question:

Your Hollywood Rack Sports Rider SE platform bike rack for 4 bikes, states that it uses a 2 inch hitch. The hitch I am thinking of buying for my prius states that it is 1 1/4 inches. Does this mean I can not use this bike rack with that hitch? Not sure if there is any wiggle room since I am not used to using hitches.

The hitch for a Toyota Prius will be a Class I 1-1/4 inch hitch. The thing about Class I hitches is that they only can carry up to 2 bikes at a time. Any more than that would cause too much stress on the hitch from the weight and leverage of the additional bikes.

I have a similar bike rack that I can recommend for you, but the part # HR1400 would not work for you.

Instead you would want the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z as this is a similar platform rack that will fit a Class I hitch on a Toyota Prius.
