Availability of Ball Mount with 3/4 Inch Drop
Question:
Do you have a 2 inch ball mount with a 3/4 inch drop ?
asked by: Joe
Expert Reply:
The least amount of drop available in a fixed ball mount for a 2 inch receiver would be two inches, like part # C45010 with its 7500 lb capacity. Ideally, you want the ball height of the trailer to equal the coupler height of the trailer so everything's pulled perfectly level, but this isn't always possible. As long as you're within two inches of level, everything will be fine.
An adjustable ball mount like # C45900 would allow you to get a 1-1/4 inch drop, which is plenty close enough.
