What is Needed to Install Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer
Question:
I have a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with factory 7 way and want to purchase the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885. What else do I need to install it?

Since your Trailblazer has the factory installed towing package, you will need no additional parts to install your Tekonsha Prodigy P2. The brake controller would wire directly to the tow package wiring located under the dash, which can be accessed by lowering the panel directly below the steering column. The tow package wires are taped to the wiring harness to the left.
The red and white tow package wire attaches to the black wire on the the brake controller, the black tow package wire attaches to the white wire on the controller, the light blue tow package wire connects to the red brake controller wire, and the dark blue tow package wire would attach to the blue wire on the controller.
We have an installation video that will show the installation procedure. The video shows a 2004 Envoy, but the procedure would be similar, with the exception of the orange wire for the 12 volt supply.
