Need Bike Rack That Is Lightweight and Easy to Use for 2015 Mazda CX-5

Question:

Im an older female not in the best strength. I would appreciate your help in telling me exactly what I need to install a 2 bike rack on a Mazda CX-5 2015 model. I am not in the best shape so please just list the items and I will purchase based on your recommendations. Thank you for such a timely response.

For a bike rack that requires the least amount of physical exertion, I recommend going with a hitch mounted bike carrier like the Saris Freedom, part # SA4412B. This rack is lightweight, weighing in right at 22-1/2 lbs, and is very easy to use. I have attached a video of it on a CX-5 for you.

This rack does require your vehicle to be equipped with a trailer hitch receiver. If you do not have one already, take a look at the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 76138. This custom-fit trailer hitch offers bolt on installation with no drilling or welding required so you shouldn't have any problem finding a local mechanic that is willing to install it.
