The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

It sounds like you are adding 200 lbs of cargo to the rear of your vehicle but then are removing 100 lbs worth of seats? If that is the case you would need to just then add 100 to the tongue weight figure of your trailer as long as the seats you removed are behind the rear axle.

It sounds like your dry hitch weight will be 400 lbs, so if you add the weight of your cargo it would be around 500 lbs. Which would be a little on the low side for the # PS49582 but it would probably work just fine. However, since this isn't the weight of your trailer loaded you may need a higher capacity system like the part # PS49583 as it has a range of 750 to 1,000 lbs.
