Replacement Hub/Drum Assembly With 25580 Bearing for Use on Mobile Home Axle
Question:
I have a trailer that has mobile home axles with 14.5 inch wheels and tires. I just had one wheel where the bearings came apart and the hub has a hairline crack in it. This axle has electric brakes. I need a complete hub with bearings, grease seals, etc. The spindle on the axle appears to be unharmed. Would you have the hub assembly and what would the price be?

Expert Reply:
Mobile home axles are designed for single-use, as when transporting the trailer to its permanent location. These often use uncommon bearings that are not readily available. In your case we do offer bearing # 25580 and we also offer hubs that use this part. The link provided will let you see all such hub/drum assemblies.
You will need to know your outer bearing to match this as well. Filters on the page allow you to select that attribute, as well as the axle capacity, bolt pattern, drum size and wheel size. You can use one of these hub/drum assemblies so long as the bearing set and other characteristics match yours.
If you cannot find a suitable hub/drum it may be necessary to replace your mobile home axle with a trailer axle. We offer trailer axle kits with hubs, bearings seals, etc all included, such as # e43SR, that includes a 3500-lb axle, hub/drums, brakes, bearings and seals.
