5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Wiring Adapter Retains Use of Rear 7-Way for 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty
Question:
I have a 2008 Ford F450 Crew cab with regular bed with factory tow package. I want the adapter harness that plugs into the truck wiring just behind the rear bumper and extends all circuits up to the fifth wheel area while leaving the bumper plug operational. Is this the right kit?.

There is a specific wiring harness for your 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty that is a better fit than the 20023 wiring harness. You will need Curt 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness item # C56000. For this harness, your vehicle will have to have a factory tow package, which you have indicated that your truck does.
The harness plugs in between the the OEM wiring harness and the factory 7-Way connector. You will still be able to use the factory 7-Way with this harness installed. I have included an video showing installation of this harness on a similar vehicle.
