Towing Mirror Options for 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Towing 30-Foot Trailer

Question:

Hello: I have a Chevy silverado 2500HD 2005. I am now towing a 8 1/2foot wide x 30foot long trailer and I want to replace my existing mirrors with Towing mirrors that can still use the electric motor for the mirrors. I see you had a pair for approx $500.. Will these be the best mirrors for the job. Thank you.

The K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors for the 2005 Silverado that you referenced, part # KS62075-76G, are a correct fit for your truck. If the truck's current mirrors have built-in turn signals, electric adjustment and heat, then each of these functions will remain active with the K-Source towing mirrors installed. Please note you cannot add a new function through using a different mirror; the vehicle has to already have the wiring in place to support each of those functions. Please refer to the linked photo.

This set of custom-fit mirrors installs using the same exact mounting points and original factory hardware that currently holds your stock mirrors. The main mirrors have heat and power adjustment but the smaller spotter mirrors adjust manually and do not have the heat function. The housing manually folds up against the truck for parking or for fitting into tight spaces. The housing can manually extend out by 4-inches to give you a wider field of view.

If your stock mirrors have electric adjustment and heat - but not the turn signal function - then instead you will want to use # KS62075-76GE. Since the turn signal function only operates if your stock mirrors already have this feature, there's no need to spend more on the other set since that function would not operate.

The link provided will let you see all towing mirror options, which include cost-effective snap-on and slide-on types that attach to your existing mirrors. Either of the referenced K-Source sets will give you excellent functionality and the cleanest appearance for the truck.
