Recommended Air Suspension System For 2012 Nissan Titan
Question:
I have a 2012 Nissan Titan. The leaf springs are so soft for factory ride quality. Seems like my suspension sags even under the lightest loads. I saw that air bags counteract the effects of a WD hitch. Is there a way to have both so they work in unison. I like that an airbag can be deflated when not under load to increase comfort. What are my options?

This has been an issue for many vehicles. Using an air suspension system on your 2012 Nissan Titan when the weight distribution system is being used is not a great idea, as they tend to cancel each other out which does no good for you. Many times the problem you are having with the excessive sag is due to the weight distribution system not being set up correctly or may even be the incorrect size. I have attached a helpful article you can check out.
You can install an air bag system like the Firestone Vehicle Suspension, part # F2355. This would give you the ability to use the air system when carrying loads in the back of your Titan, and can be deflated when you are towing and using the weight distribution system for your trailer.
If you decide to install an air system like # F2355 I recommend also installing the Firestone Level Command II, part # F2158. This is an onboard compressor that lets you control the amount of air you keep in your air bag system from the comfort of your cab.
