What is the Towing Capacity for a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Question:
I have a 2007 FJ and am wondering if I dare try moving my sons 8x25foot tiny house with 1000 lb tongue weight and full load weight of 10,200 lbs. I know I will need extra hitch tools to help redistribut weight. But is my FJ capable of safely towing the tiny house? Thanks!!

According to the owners manual for the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser the maximum towing capacity of the vehicle is 5,000 pounds so you would not be able to tow the tiny house with that particular vehicle.
I recommend renting a 1-ton truck (Ford F-350, Chevy/GMC 3500, Ram 3500) but make sure to verify the towing capacity and tongue weight capacity with the rental agency before renting it.
