Kuat Beta Fit on 2014 Nissan Murano

Question:

will the Kuat Hitch Bike Rack b202-2 aluminum rack, that fits a 2inch hitch receiver, work on 2014 Nissan Murano. Will it extend beyond the bumper or when the rack is in place will it be too short. Your web page did not show the rack and the Murano as being paired up as a workable combination.

I show that the 2014 Nissan Murano takes a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch hitch opening, so yes, it will be compatible with the Kuat Beta 2 Bike Rack, # B202-2, which you reference. If you do not have a trailer hitch I would recommend the etrailer hitch # e65AR, which is a Class III hitch that has a 2 inch receiver hitch opening, as long as you do not have the CrossCabriolet model.

To determine if the Kuat Beta 2 Bike Rack will work on your vehicle without clearance issues with the bumper of your Murano, the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest back portion of the rear bumper is needed.

We installed the same Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch on a 2014 Nissan Murano and measured 5-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest back part of the rear bumper, see video link.

The Kuat Beta 2 measures 7-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright bar, so you should have plenty of clearance.
