I spoke with my contact at Dutton-Lainson, the manufacturer, about the hardware requirements for Coupler # DL13728. She told me that to mount the coupler, you will need two, 1/2 inch bolts, that are 3-1/2 to 3-3/4 inches long. With this type of hardware installed, the coupler will be installed properly, according to manufacturer recommendations.
