Timbren Axle-Less System Recommendation for a Food Trailer that Had Torsion Axles
Question:
We have 3 mobile food trailer from China that we want to replace the axles because they are not dot approved for highway transport. The max load 2200 lbs. I can email you a picture of the trailer frame and axle. it is a torsion type axle. The overall length of current axle from spindle end to spindle end is 1580 mm. axle beam length is 1250 mm We we looked at the Drexter 8 or 9 series torsion axle, open to all suggest? To replace the torsion axles you have on your foot trailer that you have I would recommend the Timbren Axle Less systems like part # A35RS545E. This system is similar to the torsion system you have no except it is DOT approved. This system also comes with hub/drums for if you need trailer brakes.
If you don't need trailer brakes you could use the part # A35RS545 instead as it comes with idler hubs.
