Loc-Tite for Tightening U-Bolt Nuts of U-Bolt Kit  

Question:

I, too, ordered the U-bolt kit from etrailer, but the nuts included are definitely not Nylock or similar. So the question remains: are split lock washers or Loc-Tite recommended?

You can use Loc-Tite if you would like when tightening the nuts of your U-bolt kit. It's not required but it won't hurt. The torque specs for 9/16 diameter U-bolts like the # APUBR-9 is 65-95 ft lbs. With that amount of torque on the nuts they would not back off.

For Loctite you could use the part # LT37420.
