Tow Bar Lighting Recommendation for a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser Towed By RV with 7-Way
Question:
Hi - I wish to connect our 1993 Toyota Landcruiser to our 2012 Tiffin motorhome. The RV is fitted with the standard 7-pin round blade-style connector. As the RV has separate turn signals, would that connector be wired to take those separate signals back to the tow car? What are my best options for achieving the light connections, and incorporating charger wiring to the towcar mounted DCBC to ensure no battery drain in the towcar whilst being towed? Thanks for your assistance.

The 7-way at the rear of your RV that you would use for connecting to the tow bar lighting will have the taillight signals combined.
The easiest way to wire up your 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser will be to use a diode kit like part # RM-154 to wire up the taillights as a combined system. I attached a chart that shows how this will work.
To convert the RV 7-way to a 4-way you would also need part # PK12716.
