Will Hollywood Racks Bike Carrier Work With Womens Bike Frame On 2014 Ford C-Max
Question:
Looking for a lighter wt 2-bike hitch rack to work w/a Ford C-Max. Would prefer a wheel mount, tilt away and fold up rack if possible. I think I also need the shank to rise to give better clearance. Would like to be able to open the hatch when bike rack is in use. One bike is a step thru frame. Will the HR1000 work for that? Thanks!

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2 2-Bike Platform Rack, part # HR1000Z will work with both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitch receiver openings. This bike rack weighs approximately 37 lbs and has the folding and tilting feature you mentioned. With the adjustable wheel holder trays, it can accommodate bikes with up to 60 inch wheelbase and tire width up to 3 inches. It has a weight capacity of 90 lbs. This also has a shank rise of 5 inches for additional ground clearance. The adjustable arms on the upright mast lets you securely hold bikes with nearly every style frame in place when loaded on the carrier.
