Do the Teeth for the Hook Latches Run the Entire Lenght of the Upright on Swagman XC-2 Bike Rack
Question:
I am wondering if the bike hooks slide all the way to the bottom of the center post. We have 2 semi-recumbent bikes that are step through design with no top bar. The bike hooks will have to go a lot lower than conventional bikes.

Please note that the Swagman XC2, part # S64650, bike rack is not designed to be used with recumbent bikes. You may be able to get away with a semi-recumbent. The maximum wheel base, center of wheel to center of wheel, is 51-1/2 inches. Any longer and the bike rack will not work.
The upright bar measures 26-1/2 inches long. The teeth for the hook latches do not run the entire length of the upright. The top 3-1/2 inches do not have teeth and the bottom 5-1/2 inches do not have teeth.
