How To Determine if a Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack # S64663 will Clear Rear Spare of RV

Question:

I have a 2005 Tiffin Allegro Class A motorhome with the spare tire mounted on the back of the RV. I am concerned that there may not be enough clearance more than 10 to mount the rack. Is there some sort of extender for the receiver hitch I can use to get the rack further away from the RV ?

What you will need to do to determine if the Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack # S64663 will clear the rear spare of your 2005 Tiffin Allegro Class A motorhome is to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the furthest point out on the spare. If that distance is less than 8-1/2 inches the Swagman Rack part # S64663 would clear and work well on your motorhome. Since using a hitch extender cuts the capacity of the hitch in half I would not recommend you use one to gain more clearance.
