5th Wheel Install Kit Rail Placement on a 1975 Dodge D200 Long Bed

Question:

I have a 1975 Dodge D200 2 wheel drive with 8 foot bed. what is the measurement from end of bed to rear base rail. I am installing a Reese 14k 5th wheel hitch with universal mounting kit.

Using Reese universal installation kit # RP30035 on your 1975 Dodge D200 you would measure from the rear edge of the bed 29-5/8 inches forward. This is where the rear edge of the back rail will be. Once it is in place you would use the hitch to locate the front rail. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. You will want to look at sheet 19 of 23 in addition to the common instructions at the front of the instructions.
