I checked with Hopkins, and the correct plug-in style brake controller wiring adapter for your 2010 Dodge Ram is part # HM53015. This harness will allow you to connect your Hopkins Agility Brake Controller, # HM47294, to your truck as long as it came with factory trailer wiring.

If your truck did not come with factory trailer wiring, then you will need to install trailer wiring and hardwire the brake controller. First you will need a 4-way wiring harness for the tail light functions. I recommend part # 18252. Next, you will need a 4-way to 7-way adapter. For this I recommend our 4- and 7-Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. This kit has everything you will need to install your brake controller. I have attached an installation video of this kit for you to check out.

Once you get the brake controller, you will have 4 wires to connect. The 4 brake controller wires are as follows:

White: Ground, attached to a clean piece of unpainted metal. Dodge color: black/green.
Black: 12v lead, attached to the vehicle's positive battery terminal with a 30amp circuit breaker, part # 38630 if needed. Dodge color: yellow/red.
Blue: Electric brakes, attached to the blue electric brake wire on the 6 or 7-Way vehicle plug in the rear. Dodge color: green.
Red: Stoplight switch, normally located directly off the vehicle's brake pedal. Dodge color: white.
