Will Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02443 Fit Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch # C31015 on 2015 Ram 2500
Question:
Will the Yakima Holdup 2 have enough clearance on my 2015 Ram 2500 using the Curt Front Hitch C31015? I wont require the bike rack to fold up. Thanks Again for your help.

When it comes to a bike rack with sufficient clearance to be used with the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C31015, on your 2015 Ram 2500, I recommend taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. An adapter bar, # 64005, may be needed to carry women's and children's bikes.
We had the opportunity to install the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C31015, on a 2010 Ram and as you will see in the attached video, at least 9-1/2" is needed from the rack's hitch pin hole to the bike mounting location in order to clear the bumper on the truck. The Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack, # Y02443, that you mentioned measures 12" from the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel holder which means the bike's handlebars would come in contact with your truck. The Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR has 13-1/2 inches of clearance from the hitch pin hole to the back up the upright, giving you the additional clearance room that is needed.
Please keep in mind that placing a bike rack on the front of a vehicle can impede the driver's visibility as well as block the headlights. I recommend checking with your local highway patrol to find out if they have any restrictions for front mounted hitch accessories.
