Troubleshooting BackUp Sensors Bulb Out Message with Bully LED Hitch-Mounted Step On VW Touareg
Question:
Upon installation of the BBS 1104L on our 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, we immediately got an error message that the left tail light had failed. Also the backing sensors stopped. The left light and the camera itself still work despite the persistent error message. I assume the backing sensors stopped working because of plugging in the led lights into the bumper connector? Is there a correction for either problem?

It sounds like your back up sensors deactivate when you plug in trailer wiring. This would be to prevent the sensors from going off all the time while in reverse because of them detecting the trailer behind you.
The best solution I can provide would be to install a second 4-way that bypasses the factory one of your 2014 Volkswagen Touareg. For that you would want the part # 118668.
The error message you are receiving is a common problem on German vehicles when they are connected to a trailer with LED taillights. I recommend the part # C35FR for this problem.
