Will Trailer Connector PK11893 Work for a 2005 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

I have a 05 G.M.C.with factory wire harness but it has the turn as a diffrnt circuit most likely a amber turn signal I need to know if this would work have gone through three already and I seem to be getting feed back brake kights dont work if i have on running lights they get cancelled like no lights at all I would appreciate a respnove back asap Thanks Its a V-8 4.8 liter 2 wd reguler cab 1500 can tow up to 6,200 pounds trailer side .

One thing you might want to check is if your factory connector and your trailer wiring is still grounded well. Follow the ground wire from the plug and back and make sure that it is still firmly grounded, and that no pinched or exposed points are touching metal. You will want to check the ground on the trailer connector itself, as well as on any lights or electric trailer brake magnets.

The # PK11893 replacement 7-Way connector is custom fit for the 2005 GMC Sierra 1500, so it should work great on your vehicle.

This plug features the brake light and turn functions on the second pins from the top, on either side. I would double check that your factory harness connector has these functions located on the same pins, in the off chance that there may be a mis-wire situation.
