Electric Brake install 2000 Coleman Sedona
Question:
I have a 2000 Coleman Sedona popup camper. Ive verified it has the Dexter 2000 lb axle. Ive also verified it has the backing plate with 4 holes on each side behind the tires so it will accept electric brakes. Currently it doesnt have any brakes installed. I was wondering if you could provide me a list of parts needed to install the electric brakes on it. It doesnt have the ez lube on it I believe that is what its called. There is a blue wire ran from the one side of the axle to the front but doesnt appear to be hooked up on the 7-pin adapter. Ive already ordered the 7-pin to 4-pin wiring kit and brake controller for by SUV so Ill get that done to accomodate these brakes. Thanks.

In order to make recommendations for brake assemblies and hub/drums, I'll need some more information.
I'm assuming your pop-up currently uses idler hubs. In order to recommend the proper brake assemblies and hub/drums, I'll need the reference numbers off of your inner and outer wheel bearings. To get the correct hubs with wheel bolt patterns that match your existing wheels, I'll need to know the lug bolt pattern of your existing hubs, which will likely be 4 on 4 or 5 on 4-1/2.
Once I have this information, I'd be happy to get a parts list together for you. I've also linked you to an FAQ article that explains what's needed to add electric brakes to a trailer.
