Trailer Hitch for 1973 Jeep J4000 Pickup Truck
Question:
Im needing a hitch for my 1973 Jeep J4000 Pickup Truck. If you dont have a hitch for this, do you have a universal-fit hitch? If not, any recommendations? THANKS!

Since there are no custom fit trailer hitches for your 1973 Jeep J4000 Pickup Truck you will want to look at the selection of weld-on truck hitches such as # 41990-07. You will need to determine the overall width of the Jeep frame from outside to outside and the how much space there is from the bottom of the frame down to clear the lower part of the rear bumper.
It is possible that hitch # 41990-07 will work for you. This hitch fits frames that are up to 44 inches wide. The brackets are 7 inches.
It is also possible that a professional fabricator could make some custom brackets as well. I have included a link to the weld-on hitches we have so you can see the different options.
