Recommended Trailer Hitch For 2014 Chevrolet Impala LTZ2

Hi, I have a 2014 Chevrolet LTZ2 Impala. I want to add a hitch so I can use the bike rack I use on my SUV. On my previous Honda Accord I had a problem with the hitch touching the ground when transitioning onto a steep drive. I want to avoid that with this new car and hitch. Of the hitches available what item fits as close as possible to the car or has the highest ground clearance? I also prefer a hitch that is not seen much if possible. The bike rack has a fairly long connecting piece so a hitch that has its opening sitting as far forward as possible is preferred. I appreciate your assistance.

We have several trailer hitches that are designed to fit your 2014 Chevrolet Impala LTZ.
We have not had an opportunity to install a hitch on a 2014 Impala but we have installed some hitches on a 2014 Malibu. I will make my recommendations based on the Malibu.
The hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 36543. This is a Class ll hitch and has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. As the attached installation video shows, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the rear bumper is 5 inches and the distance from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 11 inches. These measurements may vary due to the vehicle and the tires you have installed.
