Towing Mirror Recommendations for 2008 Jeep Commander
Question:
Will this tow mirror fit a 2008 Jeep Commander? Can you recommend a good universal tow mirror?

According to Rampage, their # RA8605 mirror is intended for use on the original equipment half doors installed on the 2007-2014 Jeep Wrangler, so it wouldn't be a good fit for your Jeep Commander.
When it comes to universal mirrors, I have a favorite and a runner up. K-source offers a clip on mirror, part # KS3891 that works very well. The mirror is held in place by two ratcheting rubber straps that allow you to get the mirror installed pretty tightly to reduce wind vibration. As you can see by the reviews, the mirror is highly rated by our customers. As long as your mirror housing has a slight lip running around the edge of the mirror glass, this mirror should work well.
The mirror I recommend most often is the Deluxe Door Mounted Mirror from Cipa, part # 11650. The mirror isn't the best looking thing ever conceived, but it works very well with minimal vibration which makes it a popular choice with our customers. The mirror will fit your Commander unless it has cladding on the bottom of the doors.
Both mirrors are sold individually.
I've linked you to product demonstration videos for both mirrors I mentioned.
