can you pull trailer with no air in airbag on the 5AB-E1621-610 and hurt nothing like on the trailair?

I spoke with my contact at Cequent and he confirmed that you can pull your trailer with the 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler, # 5AB-E1621-610, without air in the airbag and that doing so will not harm the trailer, tow vehicle, coupler or your fifth wheel.
However, the manufacturer does recommend adding air to the air bags so that the air-ride coupler can act as a buffer between the tow vehicle and the trailer, minimizing the abuse sustained from turbulence on the road and giving you the smoothest ride possible by reducing shock.
