Will Thule Force XT Cargo Box Fit 2007 Honda Odyssey without Rear Hatch Interference

Question:

Will the Rear Hatch on a Honda Odyssey 2007 interfere Thule Force XL with factory installed crossbars? If it does interfere, is it safe to move the crossbars forward if required to avoid contact with the rear hatch. Any issues with weight distribution? I love your site. Great information. Thanks

To determine if the Thule Force XT cargo box, # TH6358B, will cause rear hatch interference on your 2007 Honda Odyssey there is one measurement you will need to take.

If the crossbars can be moved on your Odyssey, move the front bar as far forward as it will go. Then measure from the center of the front bar straight back to the seam between the top of the hatch and the roof.

If that measurement is greater than 531-1/8 inches the box will fit without hatch interference. If you come up with a shorter measurement, let me know what it is and I can determine which cargo boxes will fit without hatch interference.
