Need Replacement Fifth Wheel Pin Box On Trailer That Is Hitting Truck Bumper
Question:
I have a model year 20022001 1st year sold Forrest River Sierra 38 foot fith wheel, it current has an airborne kin pin box but it too short the bumper on my truck hits the trailer. I am looking for a extented king pin box but dont know what make of trailer I have. If you could held figure out what trailer I have so I can pick the right pin box i would appriciate it. Thanks

There should be a sticker or plate on the pin box located on the left side that would have the information needed.
If you are unable to find the sticker, and if you know it is the original equipment on the trailer, you can contact the trailer manufacturer and using the VIN of the trailer they should be able to tell you what pin box was installed.
You can take some measurements as described in the attached helpful article that will give you the information needed to select a replacement pin box.
If you have a short bed truck, you may want to consider a Sidewinder which will give you additional clearance from the truck when towing.
