Cargo Carrier to Clear Rear Bumper of 2015 Nissan Pathfinder

Question:

will this carrier adequately clear the bumper of my new 2015 Pathfinder? And is there any way to fold it or pivot it to clear the rear hatch?

To determine if the carrier will clear your bumper, you'll need to measure from the hitch pin hole rearward until you clear the furthest point of the rear bumper. If this distance is less than 2-1/2 inches, the Carpod # M2205-01-02 will work on your Pathfinder.

The Carpod # M2205-01-02 has no provision for folding, so it would need to be removed or unloaded and the walls folded flat in order for the rear hatch of the vehicle to be opened.

If you find the Carpod doesn't provide enough clearance, you could consider the Curt 20x60" folding carrier, part # C18151. This carrier won't tilt away from the vehicle, but it offers plenty of clearance, and if it were used with a cargo bag like part # 988501, it would offer plenty of protection for your cargo.
