Transmission Cooler Line Routing On 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

I have read through a lot of questions and watched the video of the transmission cooler install on a 2007 Grand Caravan, but I am not clear on how the transmission cooler lines should be routed on a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. I am not sure which cooler line on the stock setup is the flow coming in and which port has the cooler fluid going back out? And where should the inflow from the stock cooler coming into the aux cooler be, mounted at the top or at the bottom?

To find out which line is to be routed through a transmission cooler on your 2008 Dodge Caravan you can just do the following.
Start with the engine cold. Start up the engine. Put the transmission shifter in drive for no longer than 10 seconds. Stop the engine, place the vehicle in park, and remove the keys. You can feel both lines for temperature. The coolest line is the return line. I have attached a couple of helpful articles you can check out.

Since there is no inlet or outlet port on the transmission cooler, it would make no difference which port you use when installing the outlet line from your cooler to the transmission cooler.

For your Caravan I recommend the Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13503. This is a plate-fin cooler that measures 11 inches Wide x 8-3/4 inches tall x 7/8 inch deep. I have attached a link to a product review video fro this cooler you can take a look at.
