I suggest you first check to make sure that the windshield channel included in the Bestop kit # B5131101 was installed with the open side facing forward. This part's correct orientation is shown in the installation instructions that I've linked for you. (This may sound silly but its worth checking.)You can also check that the channel was installed level rather than pointing upward at all.
In step 8, which is shown on page 5 of the instructions, you'll note that Bestop advises to slide the front edge of the top with its internal 3/4-inch plastic strip all the way through this channel, then back it in again to center it. It is important that the fabric and the plastic strip inside it both are inserted into the channel. The fabric helps create the tension within the channel to hold the edge of the top.
My contact at Bestop also notes that it is important to keep tension on the top to prevent wind from grabbing it. If it flaps in the wind this will tend to start pulling at the front edge. Make sure the bows are positioned correctly as per the instructions to keep tension on the top.
