Question:
I AM LOOKING FOR A TOW SET UP SO I CAN TOW MY 2004 FORD F150 4X4 BEHIND MY MOTORHOME. I SAW THE ONE YOU SELL ON THIS SITE AND LIKED THE ONE THAN CAN NOT BE SEEN WHEN NOT IN USE. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS BEST FOR ME?

For your 2004 Ford F-150 4x4, we can offer you everything you will need to flat tow the truck behind your RV.
First you will need a base plate kit. I recommend # 495-1A that you referenced. As you know, when not in use, the part that is visible can be removed. (Note: if you have a Heritage series F-150, use base plate kit # 492-1.) I have included a link to the instructions for kit 495-1A below.
Next, you will need a tow bar that is compatible with the base plate kit. The RoadMaster StowMaster All Terrain Car-Mounted Tow Bar, # RM-501 will work with the recommended base plate. I have included a link to the instructions for this tow bar below.
Third, you will need safety cables like RoadMaster 64 inch Double Hook, Straight Safety Cables, # RM-646. Cables are needed in case the coupler comes detached from the ball. They are also required by law.
And finally, also required by law are lights to mount on the vehicle being towed. I recommend the Magnetic Towing Light Kit, # RM-2120, for infrequent towing. If you plan on towing the truck often, I recommend a more permanent solution like the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154. I have included a video showing installation below.
You will need to check with your vehicle manufacturer for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your vehicle, because some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, drive line disconnect, or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed.
