Sidewinder on my 2006 Montana Travel Trailer is Longer than My Factory Pin Box

Question:

My dad recently installed a sidewinder on his 2006 Montana with a Lippert Pin Box. It appears his trailer may sit a little further back because the sidewinder seems to be a bit longer than his factory Pin Box. Question is does this change his axle weight his hitch has not been moved.

No worries! The axle weight capacity will stay the same even though the Sidewinder # ST400-5AS16K sits a little further back.

The rotating turret will still allow turning and pivoting to take place an additional 22-inches behind the king pin.

Backing up will still be quite easy because of the pivot point is moved back.

I have included a helpful article for you too.
