Hitch Adapter Recommendation to Convert 1-1/4 in Hitch to 2 inch Hitch

Question:

I have a Subaru Outback with a 1 1/4inch receiver. Can I safely use this product using a 1.25 - 2inch adapter? Thanks!

The Hitch Adapter part # HT02 that you referenced is actually designed to go the opposite direction you would need. It is designed to fit 2 inch hitches and reduce them down to 1-1/4 inch hitches.

Instead you would want the # HTAD. This product will take your 1-1/4 inch hitch and allow a 2 inch hitch accessory to be used. This will cut your hitch tongue weight capacity in half though as that is the nature of these adapters. I attached an FAQ article on them for you to check out as well.
