Weight distribution is recommended if the gross trailer weight is 50 percent or more of the gross vehicle weight OR if the rear end of the vehicle is sagging when the trailer is connected.

Based on the weight of the trailer you would benefit from using weight distribution. You will notice improved ride quality and handling (on the truck) and reduce or eliminated sway if you choose a system that has sway control.

To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.

The weight of the trailer you provided is the dry weight so when loaded it will be heavier. Tongue weight is typically 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight if not more.

If you can tell me the gross trailer weight rating (the maximum the trailer can weigh) I can make some recommendations for you. I have included some helpful links on determining tongue weight and on weight distribution for you.
