Recommendation to fit Snowboards on a 2010 Mazda 3 Roof Rack with Bindings Interference
Question:
Hi I have a Mazda 3 2010. I have the Thule Roof Rack but the only problem is that my snowboard does not fit in between the racks because of its bindings. My question is how do you widen the the rack to make it longer?

Expert Reply:
Since your Thule roof rack is attached to the fixed points of the roof of your 2010 Mazda 3 there is no way to increase the crossbar spread so that your snowboard bindings will fit as-is.
Your best option would be to remove the bindings so that the boards can install in the rack that you have.
