Troubleshooting 7-Way 12 Volt Accessory Circuit Not Functioning on a 2014 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
In anticipation of buying a trailer mounted brake control, I found that there in no 12 vdc at the 7 way connector. I am familiar with having to connect the wire in the engine compartment of GM vehicles. Is there something similar I need to do for my 2014 4runner? Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2014 Toyota 4Runner the 12 volt power circuit of the 7-way should be completed from the factory. However, it is possible that you could be missing the needed relays/fuses under the hood of your vehicle to complete this circuit. Check the fuse/relay box of your vehicle to see if there is a missing fuse or relay for the 12 volt accessory trailer wiring circuit.
