Hitch-Mounted Scooter Carrier For Mercedes-Benz Touring Coach

Question:

Im interested in finding a hitch-mounted solution for a Vespa and two traditional mountain/city bicycles. Already own the two bicycles and will be purchasing the Vespa GTS ABS within a year. Were looking at a compact Mercedes-Benz Interstate touring coach. Tow options are the 3/4 or 1-ton frame both I believe are up to 5,000 towing capacity, but am unsure of the tongue weight. But am hoping that the one Vespa approx. 325 lbs. dry weight and two small bicycles less than 30 lbs. each would be easy to accommodate. Any recommendations?

The options we offer for carrying motor scooters like the Vespa GTS you mentioned are limited to carrying just the scooter. We do not offer a carrier that is capable of carrying a scooter and 2 bikes at the same time but I do have an option for you.

I recommend a hitch mounted carrier like the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier With Ramp, part # UF48-979033. This will fit 2 inch receiver openings with at least a 500-lb weight capacity. This carrier measures 80 inches long and has a 39 inch ramp included.

I then recommend a roof rack for your Mercedes-Benz. If you want to let me know what the year make and model of your vehicle is, I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
