Does a Brake Buddy Supplemental Braking System Wire Directly to the Battery on a 2015 GMC Acadia
Question:
After installing the bypass switches, is there a 12 volt power outlet to plug in the Brake Buddy brake system or do I need a hot wire off the battery?

Expert Reply:
We don't carry the Brake Buddy products so I had to look up the instructions. They actually have 3 different models in their current line up. The Stealth unit does need to connect to the battery. The Vantage and the Classic plug into a 12 volt outlet (cigarette lighter).
If your 12 volt power outlets are not active after using the fuse bypasses or pulling the fuses then you would want to install a 12 volt outlet kit # RM-9332. I have linked a video as an example of how it installs.
The fuse bypasses I show for your 2015 GMC Acadia are # RM-76517 and # RM76514.
