Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2013 Nissan Titan Towing Trailer w Reese Revolution Pin Box

Question:

Your answer to my question can reese revolution sold on the rockwood fifth wheel work with a standard hitch on a 5and onehalf ft 2013 Titan. You said that it could Since then I called and talked with others sales and tech help who are either unsure or disagree. This leaves me unsure as what to think. I was told that I need a superglide a pullright slider with the revolution that I needed to remove the revolution pin box and use a slider. The one tech that I talked with said he worked on a toyota tundra with a slider That the owner said worked with about 2inches of clearance. He although had not installed this unit and had no personal knowledge. So I guess thats grounds for confusion Before I purchase this fifth wheel I need to be certain about the safety aspects and have no doubt about application. The dealer Im buying from says I need a pullright slider. For 3500 dollars more. Others say that two movable points is a conflict. so I need some positive help with hopefully tech history. I would appreciate your comments

Yes, that is the beautiful thing about the Reese Revolution and Sidewinder pin boxes is that they can work on beds as short as your 5-1/2 foot bed.

Like you mentioned, you will need a stationary hitch since there would be no need for a slider hitch. For that I would recommend the Reese 16k fifth wheel hitch part # RP30047. This has an excellent jaw system that provides great king pin contact and works well with Revolution pin boxes. Check out the review video I attached for more info.

For an install kit you would want the semi-custom install kit part # RP30035-405. I attached installation instructions to the right for this kit as well.

I also attached an FAQ on Sidewinder/Revolution pin boxes for you to check out as well.

I can guarantee you that the best way to tow a fifth wheel trailer with your 2013 Nissan Titan is if you use a stationary hitch with the Reese Revolution pin box that the trailer currently has. The Revolution will relocate the pivot point for the trailer 22 inches back so that around corners the nose of the trailer won't hit the cab of your truck. Slider hitches cannot be used on truck beds that are 5-1/2 foot long. The bed is too short and if the slider hitch was slid back the pin box would hit the tailgate. That is why the Reese Revolution was made. To allow fifth wheel trailers to be towed by trucks with super short beds like yours. If you removed the tailgate of your truck you might still be able to use a Pullrite, but it won't give you enough clearance to make tight maneuvers like in parking lots. I hate to say this, but whoever is telling you that you need a slider hitch is either misinformed or just doesn't know any better. Especially at that ridiculous price... The Revolution or Sidewinder pin boxes offer one of the nicest towing experiences around for fifth wheel trailers. You have a great setup so far and all you need is a stationary hitch. If you are sure that your trailer has the Reese Revolution pin box then the # RP30047 hitch and rail kit part # RP30035-405 that I previously recommended would be all you would need.
